Terms of Service

The agreement between you and CertPost.

Last updated: 15 July 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of CertPost, an SSL/TLS certificate monitoring service operated by Kryptoplus Labs (“CertPost”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What CertPost does

CertPost connects to endpoints you specify, inspects the TLS certificate each one serves, and notifies you about expiry, chain or hostname problems, certificate changes, domain registration expiry, and newly issued certificates found in public Certificate Transparency logs. You tell us which hosts and ports to check and where to send alerts.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must give accurate account information and are responsible for the domains, hosts, and alert destinations you configure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use CertPost.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • monitor hosts you do not own or operate, or otherwise do not have permission to probe;
  • use CertPost to attack, overload, or gain unauthorized access to any system;
  • configure alert webhooks that point at systems you do not control in order to make our infrastructure send requests to them;
  • resell or white-label the service except under a plan that expressly permits it;
  • interfere with the service, bypass usage limits, or attempt to access data belonging to other accounts.

CertPost performs lightweight, standard TLS handshakes at reasonable intervals. It is not a scanning or penetration-testing tool, and you must not use it as one.

4. Plans, billing, and cancellation

CertPost offers a free plan and paid plans. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing you authorize us to charge your payment method for each billing period until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods except where required by law. When a paid plan ends, your account returns to the free plan’s limits rather than being deleted. We may change prices with reasonable notice; changes apply from your next billing period.

5. Monitoring is a safety net, not a guarantee

CertPost is designed to reduce the chance that a certificate problem goes unnoticed. It is not a guarantee that every problem will be detected or that every alert will be delivered. Checks depend on network reachability, third-party services, and the alert channels you configure. You remain responsible for renewing your certificates and for the availability of your own systems. Do not rely on CertPost as your only control for a business-critical certificate.

6. Third-party services

CertPost relies on third parties to operate, including hosting, database, email, and payment providers, and on public data sources such as Certificate Transparency logs and RDAP registries. Your use of alert integrations such as your own webhooks is also subject to those providers’ terms. We are not responsible for the availability or behavior of third-party services.

7. Warranty disclaimer

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CertPost and Kryptoplus Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including any missed or undelivered alert or any certificate that expired despite the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using CertPost and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is harming the service or other users. We will give reasonable notice where practical.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change we will take reasonable steps to notify you, for example by email or an in-app notice. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without limiting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live. The service is operated by Kryptoplus Labs Ltd, 3rd Floor, 86–90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom.
